Senza titolo (459 metri di campo arato), 2005
Photographic collage
Colour Lambda print
65 x 80 cm

With the aid of two oxen, the artist’s intention is that of ploughing the lines of a soccer field (perimeter, corners, penalty area and centre field) on Colle Oppio, one of the Seven Hills of Rome. The playing field is created from the terrain rising above the roof of Nero’s Domus Aurea and overlooks the Colosseum. The action was not authorized by the Rome City Council, and what remains of it is just an image, a kind of inner vision.
